Sheye Rosemeyer, one of my favorite bloggers and one of the most talented photographers I've ever seen, tragically lost her daughter, Ava, a few years ago. She recently shared this postcard explaining "Ava's Rule" on her blog and asked for everyone to pass it along. Living in South Florida, where temperatures linger in the 80s and 90s on a regular basis, I can definitely appreciate the importance of being aware of this danger...

- I'm a 20-something, 3rd year law student, married to the love of my life, Gabriel (Gaby, or more simply, G). I'm the proud mom of two beautiful pups, Shula (a Westie) and Stella (a Doxie/Yorkie mix). We live in sunny Miami, which I've grown to learn is a love it or hate it kind of town - I LOVE IT. I love to read, I love to watch movies, I love to listen to music. I don't watch a ton of TV, but when it comes to a show I'm really into, I'm a total fanatic (see: LOST). I love to cook, although G is a really picky eater so I don't have a lot of opportunity to flex my culinary muscle. I love the beach, ballet, and baseball. I've always loved party planning, am a little obsessed with weddings, and have recently caught the decor bug, so I love getting ideas for how I'll decorate my future home. I'm a junkie for politics, especially on election years. My family is the most important thing in the world to me - and it's a big one! I've got over a dozen first cousins and several aunts and uncles who all live in the same city and who I see and hang out with on a regular basis.
